Château Fougas Maldoror 2013
Gold Medal
Bordeaux Competition Wines of Aquitaine 2015

Frédéric MIGNOT – May 2014
Score 93-95/100 « Dense, garnet-red with purple-blue tints. Complex nose showing medium intensity and noble aromas of roasted coffee, tobacco and ripe plum. On the palate, the wine unfurls a lush, velvety, harmonious and balanced structure supported by ripe tannins. It offers up full flavour and intense, complex fruit layered over toast notes and accents of blackberry with a mineral touch. Closely-integrated underlying acidity capped off with a persistent finish. A very successful, typical Fougas! »
La Revue du Vin de France June 2014 – The finest wines from the 2013 vintage
« The nose is still under pronounced oak influence but the palate is enjoyable, mellow and dense. »
Primeurs 2013 – GAULT & MILLAU – June 2014
« What a chewy wine with a dense, nourishing and refreshing juiciness! It’s a real delight to savour this fruit-laden wine brimming with pleasure. »
Guide Hachette des vins 2016 p.195
1* « A wine finely wooded and very ripe (fruits in marmalade) round, full and softened in mouth, carried by melted Tannins. Côtes de Bourg harmonious, which we can drink rather young. » 2016-2020
